-Have lead STAND-LA, a coalition of environmental justice, public health, labor and community organizations, to major policy victories, including banning oil production in Los Angeles. -Responsibilities include developing and implementing all aspects of campaign strategy, coordinating coalition Steering Committee and over 50 organizations in the coalition, recruiting new coalition members, managing relations with public officials, and overseeing communications, legal strategy, policy research and analysis. -Serve as management-level staff with supervision of field organizers, role in organizational hiring and personnel decisions, fundraising and funder relations, managing coalition and organizational budgets. -Represent PSR-LA in leadership bodies of multiple statewide coalitions, helping to design and carry out campaigns for strong state environmental and climate justice policies with special focus on development of cross-sector labor/environmental justice/climate partnerships to advance a transition to an economically and racially just fossil fuel-free economy.

-Organized to build power for educators organizing their union and demanding accountability from the largest chain of charter schools in Los Angeles. The campaign is a collaboration of UTLA and the American Federation of Teachers.-Recruited union supporters among charter educators, identified and developed leaders, contributed todevelopment and execution of campaign strategy and tactics.-Initiated parent committee led by working class immigrant parents to support educators’ unionization efforts and advocate for increased parent voice in schools and greater transparency and accountability from these schools and the organization that operates them.

-Played key role in design, implementation, management, and evaluation of campaigns, including engaging with elected officials, coalition-building with community, labor, and faith allies, organizing demonstrations and other creative actions, communications. Successful campaigns included defeating a corporate boondoggle sales tax initiative, securing a federal civil rights review of LA Metro, winning Bus-Only Lanes on a major transit corridor, and opposingpackage of transit fare increases.-Engaged thousands of working class, principally Black and Latino transit riders through field organizing, recruiting new members to and developing leaders from the grassroots base to help lead campaigns.-Responsible for curriculum and agenda development and facilitation in collaboration with team members for membership meetings, political education, and organizing skills trainings.-Served as researcher and lead author on multiple transit justice policy reports-Served on organization’s fundraising team, including grant proposal writing, report writing, and individual donor fundraising through direct mail, digital campaigns, and special events-Organizer in Training 2008-2010, Organizer 2010-2013, Senior Organizer 2013-15

-Oversaw foundation and individual donor fundraising for legal services and social justice organization serving low income and undocumented immigrants with an annual budget of $2 million. This included prospect research, proposal and report writing, funder relations, grants management, direct mail, major donor relations, large special events, and establishing a new fund advisory board.-As a member of management team, participated in organizational strategic planning, budget planning,financial management, personnel and staffing decisions, management of the Board of Directors, creation of new print and online marketing materials, etc.

-Coordinated individual donor fundraising, including major donor cultivation and solicitation, house parties, segmented direct mail campaigns, phone solicitation campaigns, management of multi-purpose organizational database of 6000 people.-Coordinated what were then the two most successful fundraising events in organization’s 30-year history.-Contributed to project-based foundation and corporate grant writing and grant reporting.-Managed team of over 25 volunteers and served as House Manager for 100+ musical and cultural performances and political education events, with a strong focus on BIPOC performers and social justice/international solidarity.
