I started working at age 15 for Michael Dupey, creator of the Michael's Arts and Crafts Store in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. I worked my way up from sweeping floors to an eventual Customer Service Supervisor Position at the Corporate office in Coppell,Texas by the age of 19. After graduating from Benedictine College in 1993, I signed on to a Full-Time Management position with Michael's/MJDesigns, whereby I quickly moved up the ranks to an Assistant Manager at the premier level stores in the Plano,Texas area. I was eventually invited to become a member of the travelling team and was involved in opening more MJDesigns Retail stores in the Carolina's and Georgia regions. In the Spring of 1997 I left this company to pursue other employment options. Moving to Denver in 1997, I singed on with the then new Fado Irish Pub Company and began as a Server at the Denver Location. I transferred to Austin in 2000 as Head Bartender/Supervisor. I completed my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts at the Texas Culinary Academy in 2004 I was promoted to Corporate Trainer in 2005. I am currently the Assistant General Manager at the Fado Austin Location. In my almost 20 years with Fado, I have been able to open 8 Locations, training both Front and Back of the House staff. The one common theme in both of my jobs is my ability to lead and train others. I express myself very well as I pass on my motivation to my co-workers.
