Aim to ensure courses are:o educationally sound and appropriate for year 11 and 12 studentso presented in a clear, coherent and comprehensive documento a combination of units with coherence of purposeo consistent with the relevant current Course Frameworko The framework refers to essential concepts and skills that are required in each course written under ito Course Rationale, Course goals, Teaching and Learning strategies, Assessment table, Assessment advice , Assessment criteria, Unit grade descriptors are taken directly from the frameworko written such that they meet the conventions of standard English Panel Chairs▪ ensure that Board policies are followed▪ liaise with the Board Secretariat as needed▪ act as the first contact for proponents and developers and advise them on course development▪ negotiate with course proponents and developers during the accreditation process▪ provide written documentation to developers of all advice given and agreements reached in negotiations▪ keep principals and curriculum coordinators informed about the progress of courses▪ organise panel meetings and coordinate panels▪ deal sensitively with all the individuals involved in the accreditation process▪ inform the Executive Officer of the Board when disputes occur, providing relevant documentation▪ schedule meetings so that all courses are given adequate consideration▪ ensure that the accreditation of courses complies with the General Schedule▪ ensure that Final Version requirements are met▪ maintain an accurate record of attendance of all members.
