Program And Project Management Associate Manager
As a Program and Project Management Associate Manager I am responsible for maintaining a high degree of control over the fast paced, changing landscape of the larger program. In a given month, my teams are responsible for between 6 to 10 small projects, and 1-2 large multi-month ad hoc projects. I use my cumulative 7 years of project management experience to help the teams navigate tasks.I supervise two teams currently staffed by 8 resources: The Reporting Team, and the Privacy and Security Team. The reporting team is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of over 100 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) across all teams on the project. These metrics allow the customer and our internal stakeholders to make key strategic decisions that can have implications both major and minor to all teams on the project. As the manager of this team, I am responsible for engaging in all escalations, directing resources as needed, prioritizing tasks, and cross functional engagement. I am also responsible for presentations with the customer and internal leadership. The Privacy and Security team manages physical and cyber security on the project. The team is responsible for swift engagement of any security risks, notifying stakeholders internally and externally. Confirmed risks and/or breaches undergo a robust Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process to understand the underlying causes, and the corrective action that needs to take place to resolve a security issue, and prevent it from happening again. Both teams utilize a series of complex tools for project tracking and managing internal metrics to track progress and proactively approach possible issues. Advanced excel skills are required. Additional tools such as Tableau for data visualization, Microsoft Project for Project Management, and SharePoint for file sharing and general project oversight are used.
Pmo Reporting Team Lead
As the PMO Enterprise Reporting Team Lead I was responsible for working cross functionally with all teams on the project to manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Through the efforts of my team and me we decreased overall accuracy issues reported by the customer by 71%. This was achieved by introducing major process changes which both streamlined and standardized the process to make it easier both on the Reporting Team and the other stakeholders to deliver their data. There is a high degree of change within the reporting due to changing expectations, desire for additional metrics, and new technologies. This requires an extremely organized approach to tackling duties day to day. Conflicting priorities need to be weighed at all times, and requires delegation to effectively manage. The lead is responsible for the design and implementation of new metrics across various systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, JIRA, TFS, and other proprietary ticketing systems.
Sharepoint Administrator
As the SharePoint Administrator I assisted with the day to day issues and changes of various SharePoint environments including intranet, CMS, and public websites. Within the SharePoint Administrator role I was given the opportunity to manage migration projects from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010, as well as the migration of a public website from a deprecated version of SharePoint to SharePoint 2013. Both projects had me working directly with contractors in an agile environment, completing tasks in two week sprints. Outside of my typical duties managing the day to day activities and major projects, I worked on our intranet to enhance usability. Using JS, HTML, and CSS I created quality of life (QOL) changes enhance the user experience. On the public site, I assisted in some of the design and code of the user interfaces. Prior to vacating the role, I had produced early, but detailed documentation for future SharePoint and web design based projects.
Database Administrator
As the Database Administrator (DBA), I assisted with the day to day deployments and any issues that would arise on our SQL Server environments. We worked in both Microsoft SQL server, as well as Oracle. I created new reports to track our databases across many servers and environments. I worked with teams directly to troubleshoot and design SQL queries. I was approached shortly after taking the role by senior leadership to fill the SharePoint administrator role due to my unique understanding of our internal SharePoint environments.
Performance Analyst
I worked alongside project managers assisting with the release of projects and monitoring functions to assure smooth releases of updates and new functions. As the Wiki Coordinator I administrated, and drove creation on the internal Wiki. In addition, I maintained and added functionality to an Access database which assisted in the day to day functions of the PMO.I was co-lead on the release of a new project wide Intranet using SharePoint 2013. During my time co-leading the project, I met cross functionally with all teams to determine business needs. The intranet consists of multiple site collections which house the different functions of the business. I used CSS, HTML and previous experience with web design to build a more user friendly interface. With the Intranet fully released, I continued to support its functionality.
Workstation Pro Support Technician
I assisted with hardware and software issues on Dell laptops and desktops. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the removal of malware, general setup, hardware and software troubleshooting and network issues. I use information gathered from troubleshooting to order parts as necessary to resolve a customer's issue. I use effective time management techniques to manage customer experience quality and time usage.
Game Advisor
Over the years that I have worked at GameStop I have worked various positions ranging from Game Advisor to Assistant Store Manager. As part of the management team of GameStop I was responsible for general store upkeep and customer experience, as well as general oversight of employees and the business. Employee oversight was important to keep the store productive and profitable. Each employee has the responsibility to generate sales in the form of store loyalty card subscriptions and game reserves. When an employee was under performing, it was my responsibility to bring their sales up. On a daily basis I would fill out ledgers which kept the store up to date on profit information, as well as general store data such as dollars in games traded in. I was responsible for accounting for and documenting the register totals.
