Qualified US Army Counterintelligence Special Agent (MOS 351L). Conducted, planned, and supervised confidential Counterintelligence (CI) investigations concerning Insider Threats, and Foreign Intelligence Services (or Terrorists) targeting US equities. Investigative jurisdiction includes instances of sabotage, espionage, treason, sedition, and terrorism directed against the US Army. Conducted intelligence analysis with concentration on CI threat identification and exploitation. Directed collection of Human Intelligence (HUMINT) from various sources to identify actors working on behalf of Foreign Intelligence Services and/or terrorist organizations to defeat and/or mitigate threat activities. Supervised production of intelligence reports and threat assessments. Worked discreetly with Special Security Officers (SSOs) and Security Managers to access Personnel Security Files, verifying employees' Security Clearances and access to classified materials. Worked with executives to assist with establishing compliance with security protocols by providing recommendations and observations. Conducted security, force protection, and CI interviews of personnel, developed lines of questioning and interrogatories to address security concerns. Maintained case files and updated records as appropriate with dispositions. Conducted liaison with other US governmental agencies and law enforcement organizations, as well as foreign partners. Provided CI Threat Awareness and Reporting Program (TARP) briefings and training for supported organizations (also referred to as CI Awareness and Reporting, or CIAR briefings). Managed numerous subordinate CI Special Agents and Contractors, comprised of CI Support Specialists, Intelligence Analysts, and Interpreters as part of normal daily responsibilities. Performed under extreme conditions during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Currently assigned as Instructor (part-time) in support of the Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)(Reserve).

Served as a Contract Investigator (CACI) conducting Federal Personnel Background Investigations in support of the US Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), many of which are sensitive or controversial, where allegations, hearsay information, or other vague or intangible information of an adverse nature exist. Evaluated individual's trustworthiness for access to classified information, placement in a sensitive position(s), retention in the military services, or placement in Federal employment. Assisted with collecting and developing information from a variety of sources. Prepared reports of investigation in accordance with DoD guidelines and instructions. Completed New Investigator/Reviewer Training (NIRT) certification during this period.

Served as a civilian DoD contractor conducting Counterintelligence (CI) and security screening interviews of Afghan evacuees (Special Immigrant Visa applicants and refugees) fleeing Afghanistan in the wake of the Taliban takeover of the country in August 2021. Conducted verification of personal identity and performed background investigations of evacuees to identify potentially derogatory information causing security concerns. Conducted special technical collection activities to determine potential nefarious associations of evacuees. Coordinated with National Geospatial Intelligence Center (NGIC) biometrics specialists to assess evacuees' previous contact with US entities. Conducted analysis of relevant intelligence reporting to further assess potentially derogatory information relating to evacuees. Conducted liaison with partnered Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Counterterrorism Division Fly Team personnel and performed joint interviews/debriefings of selected individuals. Assisted US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) personnel in mitigating background areas of concern. Evaluated evacuees' responses to relevant interview questions and provided recommendations regarding further actions. Produced CI screening reports detailing results of screening interviews and made threat assessments based on mitigated or non-mitigated areas of concern. Maintained personnel security files on all persons interviewed.

Conducted Counterterrorism (CT) investigations, analysis, and other activities against persons and/or organizations within the New York City area, espousing support, or suspected of supporting designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and/or hostile foreign governments. Spotted, assessed, and recruited Confidential Human Sources (Confidential Informants). Performed liaison with federal law enforcement agencies, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in furtherance of case objectives and to further develop investigative leads. Produced intelligence reports, investigative reports, and performed briefings to senior officials concerning CT operations and results of investigations. Researched threat information from various sources with a possible nexus to the New York City area, and produced threat assessments. Utilized Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce products. Frequently utilized police, court, commercial, and federal databases in furtherance of investigative objectives. Performed as a member of executive/dignitary protection details, assigned to protect VIPs and/or foreign diplomats from possible local threat actors alongside other agencies during special events, including the annual United Nations General Assembly. Debriefed arrestees regarding their knowledge of crimes, or suspicious activities committed by others in the New York City area. Performed background investigations, in conjunction with assigned civilian Intelligence Research Specialists (IRSs), to assess persons of interest, as well as subjects of investigation, and potential sources of information. Performed surveillance against persons of interest and subjects of investigation to determine patterns of life and to generate additional leads.
