By getting more from technology to get more from life, ST stands for life.augmented• Supervision, monitoring and control of procurement activities aimed at buying materials, consumables, spare parts, chemicals, facilities and other non-manufacturing services to be used for the manufacture of semiconductor devices.• Selecting and contracting service providers and the purchase of essential goods and services to run the plant optimally• Ensuring that all purchasing standard operating procedures and local operating procedures and/or policies are adhered to religiously to ensure continuous compliance to set company, legal and business controls.• Taking the lead in signing material suppliers to SMI (supplier managed inventory) program. SMI can either be through in-house consignment or off-site local nearby warehouse. On top of this program, these functions also drive second sourcing activities to ensure multiple sources for key raw materials. • In consultation with the Pillars, aligned key program that meets GPO and local Management goals (prices, competitiveness, delivery robustness, supplier selections).• Organizing the department to adapt to the current needs and challenges, development of the staff competencies to address present and future needs and the monitoring and evaluation of subordinates’ performance. • Sits as member of the site’s Management Team and part of the GPO BEM team, implement actions, procedures, and improvement plans to be recognized as strategic business partner for the site and group
