About Eric Saxon

I have worked 32 years in the field of Cytogenetics. I was the group lead in Tissue culture at Quest Diagnostics Laboratories for 19 years. I have extensive experience in sterile technique working in a Laminar Flow hood with Amniotic Fluids, Products of Conception, Chorionic Villi, bloods and bone marrows. I have done a lot of sterile work using an inverted microscope separating out fetal chorionic villi from maternal cells. My work involved growing cells in flasks and on coverslips and harvesting them to obtain metaphase spreads of chromosomes. I have dealt with the pressure of strict turnaround times and high quality and solved many growth and quality problems during my position as Group Lead at Quest. I followed strict guidelines and safety protocols. My experience includes microscopic analysis and Karyotyping of Amniotic fluids, CVS, Products of conception, bloods and bone marrows. I now work as an Operator, Verifier and Trainer in the field of Regenerative medicine. This involves growing and manipulating stem cells using specialized techniques and equipment.

Listed skills include Clinimacs, Equipment Maintenance, Sterile Welding, Media Preparation, and 34 others.
