I have been working on Gulfstream aircraft since 1985 for the flight department of Texaco Inc. In 1988 I was hired by General Transportation Corp (Warner Communications flight department) just when they were getting there first GIV (s/n 1073) aircraft. In 2005 GTC Management Services (TimeWarner flight department) got there first G550 (s/n 5058) and in 2016 they purchased s/n 5528, my experience with the G550 spans 15 years of hands on maintenance experience doing in-house inspections to include almost everything in a 48 month and maintenance of all systems of the aircraft but specializing in electrical and avionic systems. These aircraft have had some of the latest in cabin entertainment and communications systems as well as airborne internet systems from Swift broadband, Ku satellite connectivity and the Go-Go air to ground systems from the classic ATG to the latest L-5 high speed data systems. I have maintained, configured and troubleshoot them all. To aid in the maintenance and troubleshooting if some of the aircraft systems I have designed and built break-out boxes and simulators to make the job easier. As well as being very experienced in use of test equipment from an oscilloscope to DVM to laptop computer to interface with many of the aircraft systems. With the maintenance tracking system MyCMP, that is now owned and operated by CAMP System, I have worked with them on debugging some of the problems with it as well as there iCAMP /MyCMP app, for operators to achieve a paperless cockpit.
