Growing up rural NE Ohio, I always had a passion for aviation and found it to be very fascinating. After graduating high school I was soon attending Kent State University fulfilling my dream of flight training. After two years at Kent State I enrolled at Regional Airline Academy in DeLand FL to finish up my ratings. Before I could start instructing, I landed my first job flying for Tol Air out of SAN Juan PR on the vintage DC-3 aircraft hauling US Mail to the Virgin Islands. My second day on the island I met the love of my life Lucille and now the mother of our two beautiful boys which you see in my profile picture. I spent almost three years with n PR before returning to Ohio to fly for Castle Aviation hauling cargo. Soon bigger opportunities came across the board and I landed at TMC Jets out of Elkhart IN. I enjoyed 7 years flying 3 different aircraft for them and logging a lot of flying experience. Eager for more experience I moved to RSVP Jet in West Palm Beach FL. Life is full of surprises, and as soon as I started the company begin to downsize. I soon found my self looking for new employment. An old co worker soon put me in touch with Wing Aviation whom he had recently work for. I hit the ground running and it has paid off more than I can imagine. In less than two years, Wing has given me the opportunity to attain two Gulfstream Type ratings. I currently am flying the GIV and also current in the G200. I still enjoy doing masonry, driving dump truck, and dabbling with small time farming. Family time has taken over my days off now which include baseball, bike rides, kite flying, and yes McDonalds playground time with the kids. My own free time is usually hunting, golf, fishing, or doing some sort of construction. Bless and be BlessedEric Schlabach
