Während des Studiums beschäftigte er sich mit Angriffsmethoden auf IT-Systeme und Infrastrukturen sowie mit deren Abwehr.Gleichzeitig baute Herr Schmidt durch seine Tätigkeit als selbständiger IT-Dienstleister seine vielfältigen Kenntnisse der Informationstechnik und Informationssicherheit weiter aus.Seit 2010 ist Herr Schmidt als Berater und Projektleiter im Bereich Information Security tätig und hat sich auf Aufbau und Überprüfung von Managementsystemen für Informationssicherheit spezialisiert. Er arbeitete in nationalen und internationalen Projekten. Im Jahr 2015 hat Herr Schmidt sein Tätigkeitsumfeld um den Aufbau von Managementsystemen für Business Continuity Management erweitert. Durch sein höfliches und selbstbewusstes Auftreten findet Herr Schmidt schnell Zugang zu Menschen und trägt auf diese Weise maßgeblich zu zielorientierten Ergebnissen bei.Herr Eric Schmidt ist ISO/IEC 27001 sowie ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, besitzt das Certificate oft the BCI und wurde zertifiziert in ITILv3 Foundation sowie PRINCE2 Foundation.Im Jahr 2017 beteiligte sich Herr Schmidt als Gründungsmitglied daran das BCI Germany Forum (deutsche Vertretung des BCI) einzurichten.
