Anchor of Hope Charities (AOH) was established in 2007 as a non-profit organization to sponsor and implement educational programs for underprivileged and orphaned children in Africa. We have discovered that unless we offer a holistic approach and address a child’s family situation, we are not truly supporting education. So in 2014 we added a fourth program. The program provides for clean water, sanitation and education on proper hygiene. Once we are able to address the core needs of the families, we will begin to see true change, evidenced by children regularly attending school and being permitted opportunities to focus on their school work. We receive requests for support frequently and review them in earnest on a revolving basis. Our Board of Directors is currently reviewing opportunities to expand our current programs in other African countries.

We are in the business of helping HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS manage patients safely back to their homelands. We provide transition services for health-challenged individuals who are unable to navigate their way home from U.S. health care systems. We specialize in safely assisting African and Asian patients.We assist health care systems with transfers of patients that are non U.S. Citizens and in need of transport to their homeland, and to family members or foreign healthcare facilities that will care for them.

Develops and leads the cyber security program for Protective Insurance. Responsible for all aspects of cyber security including policy and process, incident response, vendor management security, security audit and compliance, and general protections of Protective's digital assets.

As the Director, Information Systems Security and Chief Information Security Officer, Eric works with information technology and business application, infrastructure and process owners, under the authority of the CIO, to oversee the information technology security program for Butler University. He develops and monitors a cost-effective IT security program including policies, procedures, guidelines, awareness and training plan, overall security infrastructure, systematic monitoring, and reporting to senior leadership. Included in this scope is oversight of the disaster recovery and business continuity programs for the university. This position provides a coordinated focus for the IT department and campus to help ensure that security and disaster recovery practices are in place and aligned with the institution’s risk profile. Eric prepares the university-wide IT plans to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. He also serves as designated IT security manager for programs such as HIPAA and PCI as needed. Eric addresses both complex technical areas while also focusing on the human and social aspects of security. He will also work to gain interest and influence campus constituents in IT and across campus that are outside his direct control. He will work, as needed, with individuals such as the Chief of Public Safety, university controller, VP of Finance and Administration, IT governance groups such as the ASIC and IMC, university FERPA and HIPAA coordinators, and the board of trustees’ audit committee.

Responsible for developing and leading the strategic direction for the Indiana University Health Sciences schools Information Technology security framework and activities. Develops and leads school-wide information security initiatives including Health Sciences security program compliance with applicable university policies and state and federal regulations, implementation of security leading practices, security auditing, incident response, secure network architecture planning and design, testing and training of business continuity plans with business owners and other senior school officials. Serves as the IU Health Sciences coordinator for IT and security initiatives between IU and its healthcare partner hospitals including Indiana University Health, Eskenazi Health, the Roudebush Veteran’s Administration Hospital, and the Regenstrief Institute. Exercises operational control and oversight of all network and data security incident investigations and directs the investigative and remediation efforts of IU Health Sciences security incident response teams.
