• Implemented and led the successful conversion of 45 new acquisitions from SAP and Lawson software into Great Plains accurately and ahead of deadline.• Audited monthly Sarbanes-Oxley compliance packets for over 60 locations. • Conducted internal audits of eight billing groups in accordance with company policies and procedures. Served on a small committee which helped to raise the average scores of the audits from 73% to 92%. • Maintained and updated documentation to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines. This included updating narratives, flowcharts, and testing key and significant controls to help minimize risk and exposure. • Reviewed and audited overpayment packages. Reconciled the overpayment account on a monthly basis with a balance of over 10 million. Able to identify (which led to the collection of) over $60,000 of overpayments we made to BCBS. • Point person at the Business Unit level for the annual cost reporting efforts. Efforts included compiling, auditing, and sending the completed cost reports to our corporate office to meet filing deadlines.

• Responsible for balancing inventory counts of 160 clinics. This included determining needed accruals, posting usage expense, booking inter-company transactions, and analyzing each clinic for variances and making necessary corrections. • Analyzed and reconciled balance sheet and P&L accounts and made necessary accruals, reclasses and other needed entries.• Solely responsible for maintaining the inventory database with over 200 types of medications and over 160 clinics. This entailed making sure all of the invoices totaling to over a million dollars a month was correct and sent on to A/P to process.• Created and rolled-out new spreadsheets within the department that implemented pivot tables and complex Excel formulas to minimize data entry, improve efficiency and time management.

• Met monthly with respective departmental/operational managers to review financial performance (actual versus budget and prior year).• Prepared a monthly executive summary within established schedules to evaluate and explain financial performance of the hospital. • Prepared respective account analysis for the annual audit and tax return schedules.• Evaluated accounts receivable collection procedures.
