Retail store manager for St.Louis #1 franchise store by sales, through three different ownership groups. Best sales year was $450K over 8 weeks, including multiple 40k days. Overseeing between 8-20 employees. Daily communication with owners of all issues.Responsibilities included Store set-up/tear-down, receiving, merchandising hiring, firing, employee retention, scheduling, training, POS set-up and operation/training, meeting sales goals, loss prevention & security, cash handling.

Managed over 50 vendor accounts, based in China, Malaysia and Indonesia, including 4 of the largest 5 vendors by sales. Ensured that return rate goals were meet while meeting customer expectations. Regular trips abroad to the factories were required to keep quality high, resolve quality and compliance issues and ensure items meet all US laws and regulations. Created plans and strategized solutions alongside the factory and certain customers to reduce returns after identifying top returning items. Helped reduce the overall cost of shipping for Home Decorators and its customers by reducing the size of certain oversized products and packages and reconfiguring the way items were packed.Productively teamed with Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Creative Services and Distribution Center to ensure that item images, copy and costs were correctly published in the catalog and on the website
