CurrentMr. Schultz is currently part of the Army Vulnerability Assessment Detachment (VAD), providing Red Team support. In this capacity he is creating custom code for use by the Red Team, as well as traveling to locations in the U.S. and around the world in support of Red Team assessments of Army networks. In September of 2009 he achieved both Certified Penetration Tester (CPT) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications.Prior to this Mr. Schultz provided a variety of services, from custom software development to malware analysis to system administration to the training and mentoring of the more junior members of the team. In this capacity he has: analyzed source code for malicious programming; inspected executables for malicious activity such as data ex-filtration; developed and tested source code in C, Ruby, Perl, PHP, Python as well as Bash (shell) scripting language; prepared and presented brown-bag style training on topics such as using digital signature and encryption with e-mail; assisted co-workers with software issues such as OS upgrades and configuration errors; attended workshops and training on penetration testing and malicious code analysis; and prepared reports for the customer on the activities listed above.
