For over two years, I worked with more than 40 high school students in math, science, and standardized test prep. Not only was each curriculum unique, but my teaching and mentoring style changed to fit the needs of the student. Parents were also treated with great care, because they needed more than a mentor for their child but also a return on their investment.

Conducted materials science research under the guidance of Dr. Kenneth Pestka, studying the elastic properties of novel semiconductors. This research project ran for three years. Despite countless setbacks, I presented my findings at the Acostical Society of America Nov. 2010 conference in Cancun, Mexico, used the project for my senior thesis, and was the second author on a peer-reviewed journal publication.
