Authored user guides, administrator guides, and developer specifications/APIs for various products and applications through interaction with developer teams, subject-matter experts, source code, and products themselves. Products include: A web-based LMS, web- and terminal-based check and credit card processing applications, credit card terminals, electronic check readers, and a vacuum cleaner.Developed a comprehensive conditional document that specified transaction file formats for a major international credit card processor. Responsible for migrating legacy EDI formats and business logic to a modern platform. Reverse-engineered legacy database input functions (in ProC and COBOL) to document unknown flat file and tape formats and data relationships.Developed PLSQL procedures to replace legacy ProC and COBOL functions in elixir’s proprietary EDI platform for a major power company in Alabama.Authored proposals in response to government RFPs for similar data translation projects.
