I come from a diehard New York Mets family, having season tickets that have been a part of our family long before I was born. My earliest memories revolve around the sights and sounds of Shea Stadium and Citi Field. One game I remember very well is game 3 of the 2015 World Series. In that game, David Wright (my favorite player) went 2-5 with a homerun, and Jeurys Familia closed out the game throwing 11 pitches and striking out one batter. I was lucky enough to attend that game, but I don’t remember it as moments. I remember it as stats. As a sports enthusiast, I marveled at the staggering array of statistics that define every game. In baseball alone, there are over 80 metrics to dissect a match. This love for statistics evolved into a passion for Data Science. This love for statistics brought me to the field of Data science. The moment I took my first coding class I knew I had made the right decision. From “Hello World!” to coding my own version of minesweeper, I truly loved all of it. To me, data isn't a mere series of digits; it's an untold story waiting to be unveiled. I'm eager to explore opportunities that unlock data’s full potential, not just in sports, but across industries where data weaves its compelling tale.
