I am driven by a mission to create sustainable and equitable solutions for urban challenges, and to foster collaboration and innovation across sectors and disciplines. Advanced investment totaling more than $600 million in financing for affordable housing development. Focused on alignment of larger city affordable housing production and operations with all the city housing service and housing delivery agencies. Partnered with Urban Land Institute to establish a nationally recognized program to increase participation of developers of color in housing development. Restructured city grantmaking procurement to reduce barriers to BIPOC led organizations and set targets withing the entire portfolio for increased service access to low-income Black residents. Total annual grantmaking of $100 million in local and federal funds. Department lead in the launch of new citywide programs to increase homeownership opportunities for Black residents. Hired 6 new staff and implemented organization reforms to advance city’s racial equity priorities. New strategies lead to a 700% increase in the number of Black residents receiving city down payment assistance to purchase homes. Developed strategy and launched the COVID Emergency Rental Rent Relief program. Managed program transition to state administration and launched enhanced local rent relief program. Over $200 million in rental assistance was provided to tenants. -
