About Eric Sherer
I started my aviation career in the US Air Force as a Flight Engineer on the C-141 jet transport aircraft. I left the Air Force to transition into a career as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA, working at some of the Nation's busiest facilities including Newark, Miami, and Boston Logan. During that time, I have earned my advanced Pilot certificates, including Airline Transport Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Multi engine and CFI ratings.I am just as passionate about aviation as I was the day I started. I currently have just over 1400 hours total time and just under 200 hours of multi engine time. I have a jet type rating and fly for Air New England as a Captain on the King Air C90 turboprop and as First Officer on a Citation jet. My flight time increases weekly as I fly for ANE, and also as I teach others not only how to fly, but also about the beauty, excitement, and passion of aviation. As a contract Pilot at ANE, I'm currently open to becoming a team member with an active flight department in the Portsmouth/Manchester area.
