-- Reporting to the Director, Environmental Policy, was primarily responsible for the overall coordination and management of policy research and analysis on priority industry issues in Ontario and Atlantic regions relating to the environment and energy, including: air quality, toxics management, approvals, waste management policy and renewable energy.-- Provided policy advice on environment and energy issues relating to cement manufacturing. Monitored, researched and analysed provincial political, legislative and regulatory issues impacting cement manufacturing in Ontario and Atlantic regions. -- Managed contacts and facilitated advocacy campaigns with key provincial departments and agencies in Ontario.-- Consulted with the CAC regional office and the regional industry affairs committee in Ontario on relevant issues. -- Carried out relationship building and ongoing consultation with industry partners; -- Prepared reports, briefings, presentations and other written communication for internal and external use, including for government relations purposes and public audiences. -- Provided support to the Director Environmental Policy on federal and other provincial environment and energy issues. -- General support for broader advocacy activities of the CAC on closely related files, such as Sustainable Infrastructure, Communities, and Transportation.

Managed projects related to the environmental business unit including but not limited to Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), contaminated site remediation, Designated Substance/hazardous materials assessment, asbestos abatement and indoor air quality monitoring.

Contributed to all aspects of project delivery for various contaminated sites-related contracts. Projects included (but were not limited to) Phase I and II ESAs, Designated Substance Surveys, Site Specific Risk Assessments, remediation, hydrogeological studies and large-scale environmental monitoring projects. Clients served included municipal, provincial and federal government departments, major development companies, financial institutions, and insurance companies.

Organized and conducted Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Environmental Compliance Audits, Designated Substance Surveys and Site Specific Risk Assessments for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
