Life Science Research Assistant Ii
CurrentMy role as a research assistant builds upon my previous experience working at Stanford University. Specifically, I helped create the first genetic animal model for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Most importantly, I aided in a Nature Medicine publication illustrating the novel role of leukotrienes (LTB4) in the pathogenesis of lymphedema. Additionally, this study also suggests for the first time a treatment for lymphedema, which was recently patented and awaiting a phase II clinical trial. As a research assistant, I am aiming for my first authorship publication by introducing new technologies, specifically microRNA sequencing to study the plasticity of macrophages in PAH.
