Eric is an experienced leader in pharmaceutical API manufacturing, with 20 years of experience in Indiana and Puerto Rico. He is a chemical engineer with Bachelor’s and Master's degrees from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Eric is currently Executive Director of Engineering in a large molecule and peptide site for Eli Lilly and Co in Indiana. The organization of over 175 employees has responsibility for process, automation, reliability, and project engineering in addition to a maintenance organization. Previously, Eric was Senior Director of Manufacturing Operations in a large molecule site for Lilly del Caribe (Eli Lilly and Co.) in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He led a cross-functional team of about 100 operators, engineers, scientists, quality associates and first- and second-line leaders. Eric has extensive experience in API manufacturing, and excels as an inclusive leader focused on quality and safety. He is experienced in safety programs, safety culture and process safety management. He enjoys identifying new or modified processes and systems that can be used to sustain continuous improvement and operational excellence.
