Henry M. Jackson Foundation is a private, not-for-profit organization established in 1983 by Congress to support medical research and education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) and throughout the military medical community.• Designs, develops, and delivers simulation based trainings for subjects covering emergency response, teamwork, and patient safety by integrating live actors (up to 20 actors), manikins, and virtual environments for various military and government agencies such as U.S. Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines Corps, U.S. Capitol, National Disaster Response System, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Defense.• Oversees the delivery of the hybrid simulation training sessions for up to 45 military and federal government personnel tasked with urgent care and medical response for trauma, combat, and disaster scenarios.• Collaborates directly with the military and government officials (Majors, Colonels, Commanders and Captains in military and Staff Emergency Physicians at US Capitol Office of Attending Physicians) to build relevant emergency simulation scenarios and determine most effective delivery method per audience. • Manages client relationships and facilitates client communications as the Program Manager for the Val G Hemming Simulation Center by leading various in-person and virtual meetings and discussions with key stakeholders throughout the development and delivery of simulation trainings.• Analyzes and reports on the Key Performance Indicators (number of training events conducted, personnel trained, methods of incorporating patient safety, etc.) for Val G Hemming Simulation Center to comply with the funding requirements set forth by the DoD Patient Safety Office.

• Developed and delivered simulation-based training exercises focusing on teamwork based on the TeamSTEPPS (Team Strategies and Tools to Enhance Performance and Patient Safety) methodology. • Administered Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery training programs using simulation-based training methodology and proctored high-stakes examinations over 275 times in four years for the Level 3-5 Surgical Residents in preparation for the American Board of Surgery exam.• Supervised the usage and application of the virtual reality simulators, surgical task trainers, high-fidelity mannequins, and laparoscopic and endoscopic simulators for the Procedural Skills Training Laboratory for the Department of Defense Patient Safety Program.• Developed simulation scenarios based on the historical incidents for the sentinel event prevention training offered for the Langley Air Force Base medical department personnel at all levels (tech, nurse, doctor, radiologists, etc.).

• Delivered simulation exercise trainings for all levels of medical students at the Uniformed Services University based on the predefined curricular objectives and educational methodologies customized for the military environment• Managed the training budget projections and cost reconciliations - up to $250,000 per project. • Conceptualized, designed, developed, and implemented the Val G. Hemming Simulation Center’s first Clinical Skills “Open Labs”, which accommodated up to 30 medical students to practice clinical skills in a non-evaluative setting with live patients. This program was subsequently adopted by Duke University in 2014 as part of the Clinical Skills Training Program.
