I am a Senior Editor at The Athletic College Football. I joined The Athletic prior to the start of the 2019 season and edit a mix of national and team writers, working together with other editors to coordinate content plans across the company's verticals, collaborating on breaking news, SEO initiatives and social media promotion of our content.From spring of 2017 to summer of 2019 I was SI's Senior College Sports Producer, editing and overseeing all digital college football content and college basketball content that SI.com produces. I advised and coordinated SI's staff of national writers, created short- and long-term coverage plans, provided editorial direction to more junior producers and developed the social media strategy for the sports' Twitter and Facebook accounts. I also wrote columns and shorter features.From fall 2014 to spring 2017 I was a producer on SI's NFL editorial team, managing the NFL homepage and editing articles, columns and features while shaping stories and ideas with writers and my fellow editors on a daily basis. I edited, produced and co-hosted On the Clock, SI's weekly NFL draft podcast, served as executive producer for the second season of Draft Season, a special NFL draft narrative podcast series, and served a variety of production duties on This Is Your Brain on Sports, a podcast series on the psychology of sports.During the 2013 baseball season, I worked as an Associate Reporter for MLB.com covering the Atlanta Braves as the backup beat writer at all home games, handling game stories, notebooks, breaking news items and off-day features.In May 2013, I completed my undergraduate career at Vanderbilt, where I invested most of my time in various student media projects, serving as editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, co-host/producer of a sports program on the campus television station and co-host of a weekly sports talk show on the campus radio station. During that time, I also freelanced for team-centric blogs on ESPN New York (Jets) and ESPN Chicago (Blackhawks).In the summer of 2012 I interned for The Marietta Daily Journal covering Metro Atlanta high school sports, especially football. In all, I have covered a College Football Playoff championship game, NHL, MLB and NFL events, every Southeastern Conference sport Vanderbilt offers and a few other things along the way.
