Current responsibilities include:- Ensure network infrastructure availability- Design network and implement configuration inline with security best practices, using CIS baselines- Research/suggest network design ideas to optimize performance and redundancy- Implement QoS policies to prioritize business critical voice and other applications- Respond to trouble tickets for any network related issues- Ensure network infrastructure configuration is routinely backed up- Monitor network health via SNMP, respond to email notifications for device alerts- Implement firewall ACL requests (add/change/delete)- Maintain Cisco network infrastructure from an operational standpoint- Maintain Aruba wireless infrastructure from an operational standpoint- Maintain Palo Alto security infrastructure from an operational standpoint. - Manage Aruba Clearpass Policy Manager servers. RADIUS and 802.1x authentication used. Ensure Availability and Security of the DoD Army NIPRnet and SIPRnet networks at Fort Detrick NEC.Includes:- Working in a strong team-oriented environment.- Configure/Install/Maintain Cisco Routers/Switches/Firewalls. - Cisco WS-6509/6513-E, Catalyst 3750 G/V2/X, Catalyst 3560 G/V2/X, Cisco 2821, Cisco 2900, ASA 5510/5520/5540/5585. - Configure/Install/Maintain Brocade Switches- Brocade FastIron SuperX 1600/800, FastIron FGS Edge 24/48 Stackable- Patch IAVA findings as they are found. Upgrade firmware per DISA Approved Products List. - Utilize SNMP Network Management tools. Familiarity with CiscoWorks, Brocade Network Advisor, InfoBlox NetMRI, and Spectrum. - Respond to Service Desk incidents involving network issues. Utilizing the ITSM Remedy database. - Assist with maintaining end-user VPN solution, where Cisco Secure ACS RADIUS solution is used.
