Provided technical and process engineering expertise for day to day activities to Steelscape Kalama Paint Line - a Continuous Paint Line - generating over 100,000 tons per year of coated steel strip and has 33 employees. Managed and improved Employee Work Skills (Employee Skill Sets) through training and testing procedures. Through team effort, increased Paint Line speed by 21.9% which increased paint line output. Researched and led team to implement Paint Temperature Control System which realized over $750K cost savings per year in reducing paint solvent reduction, improved paint film consistency, reduction in paint usage and a 95% reduction in employee contact of a more hazardous chemical napthalene. Co-Authored technical magazine articles in Coil World 2008 & 2013 (Tale of Two Coaters) regarding Paint Temperature Control System. Implemented new and improved roll technology to increase roll life by over 200 to 300% using non-woven fabric technology which realized cost savings ($65K per year) and reduced occurrences of one of most unsafe practices - roll changes- by 70%. Led Paint Line Operations team to implement new print design for new print type painted products. Grew and provided training on extensive experience in statistical process control, process improvement, cost savings, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma - certified six sigma green belt.

Used six sigma, statistical process control, lean to further improve the quality and efficiencies of this process line. Led Process Improvement team to Implement new air knife system which realized metallic zinc cost savings exceeding $500,000 per year and an improved surface condition of the galvanized strip. Lead and implemented resin coated galvanized steel products through team effort. Worked extensively with Sales and Quality team to improve products for our customer base.
