I served as a squad designated marksman in Operation Iraqi Freedom for 22 months. As a squad designated marksman, I performed convoy security for Third Country Nationals in over 200 combat missions in Iraq. I was relied upon to be tactically proficient in high-risk, critical combat situations. I was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge for taking direct enemy fire.
