• Used HTML5, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery/React with AJAX or AXIOS, CSS in an MVC environment to build and update web pages for AirPortal, a travel management web site that accepts SOAP or REST calls to provide data to Java endpoints connected to a MySQL database. • Created and populated custom caller ID Java end point that collected phone numbers as bookings were processed and added them to a traveler’s profile in a MySQL database, then used HQL to quickly query indexed phone number columns against a caller’s phone number to display information such as traveler’s name, the traveler’s employer, and any special information pertaining to the traveler’s employer. • Updated and expanded on connections from Worldspan, Apollo, and Sabre GDS travel booking systems to our Java based systems to create custom itineraries, including flights, hotels, and car rentals. This often involved parsing screen text using regular expressions to find specific data as well as research and working closely with GDS experts to make sure data is processed and shown correctly. • Helped to build a group travel page using React/Redux as a step by step tool for sports teams or other groups to quickly add travelers, select destinations, and add cars/hotels. The page would save the data using REST/PHP to Java end points, then create an email using a Velocity Template to send the information to an agent to book the trip. • Tested front end site functionality manually, helped to create automated tests in Katalon and Jest, tested services using JUnit, and often times discussed solutions with end users to make sure what was created met their needs. • Updated and repaired HTML/JavaScript/PHP scripting and profiling systems live when required. • Gathered requirements from end users to create better, more usable products.Documented product requirements using Confluence during work on old/existing systems as well as new systems as they were created and added.
