• Manage day to day project risks including Safety, Environmental, Compliance, Technical, Stakeholders and Budget
• Conduct due diligence on potential asset additions to the portfolio.

Hallowell, Maine

• Responsible for the day to day operation of 350 mega-watts of hydroelectric power over 4 river basins and 7 storages
• In charge of a work force that consists of 16 Professional Leaders, and 51 bargaining unit members
• Negotiate and administer a labor contract with a represented work force
• Manage annual multi-million dollar O&M and Capital budgets
• Manage day to day risks including Safety, Environmental Compliance, Reliability and Budget
• Selected to the Plant General Manager Succession Plan Candidate Program. Status is: ‘ready to promote now’.

Bath, Maine

• Development work to establish new propulsion shaft alignment targets, associated with the DDG 51 Class Surface Combatant, for use with the Land Level Launching Facility.
• Develop a Process Map for the DDG51 Destroyer Engineering Change Process, and recommend lean systems for improvements.

Yarmouth, Maine

• Provided technical consultation to a cross-functional team, using prior experience to recommend a new computer-based maintenance system (CMMS) to replace an older limited-capability system
• Managed a $75,000 reliability enhancement project, providing technical, administrative and personnel direction for converting an auxiliary steam tandem control valve station to a single-drag valve station.
• Researched and developed new human-factored operator controls to minimize first-stage cavitation damage to 11,000 hp Turbine-Driven Boiler Feed Pumps.
• Researched and implemented corrective actions to resolve combustion problems with a 640 Mwe wall fired Foster-Wheeler Boiler.
• Prepared and provided training to 40-plus operations personnel in the area of heat balances, heat rate and start-up/shutdown improvements, and the cost of running equipment.
• Developed a Wyman Production Optimization Program (POP) to maximize electrical generation for the least cost.

Wiscasset, Maine

• Progressed from Mechanical Engineer to Engineering Supervisor to Engineering Section Head.Engineering Manager - Maine Yankee Atomic Power Co., January 1996 - July 1997
• Managed a multi disciplined engineering department of 38 personnel at the site with an annual O & M budget of six million dollars.
• Developed a six month recovery plan to restore technical creditability with the USNRC. This included re-structuring the department to include a “System Engineering Group”.
• Interviewed and hired over twenty engineers, engineering supervisors, and technicians to fill vacancies and expansion positions.

• Presented Engineering Training Curriculum to the INPO Accreditation Board in Atlanta, Georgia to demonstrate basis for removal from “Probation Status”.
