Developing genetic circuits, high-throughput functional assays, and DNA sequence-to-expression models to steer cell physiology for synthetic biology applications.

Contributed to the development of genetic tools and gas-fermenting strains in a biomanufacturing context. Collaborated in establishing experimental and computational workflows for designing pooled DNA sequence libraries, conducting high-throughput screening, performing next-generation sequencing, and developing biosensors.

Implemented a high-throughput wet-lab workflow using laboratory robotics to handle hundreds of microorganisms in parallel, which enabled a large-scale and rapid study of metabolic cross-feeding relationships in yeast. Developed an R-based analysis pipeline to process experimental datasets, identifying a subset of yeast strains that exhibited poor growth in isolation but demonstrated synergistic growth when paired. This work led to a co-first authorship in Nat. Chem. Biol. (DOI: 10.1038/s41589-023-01341-2).

The Science Entrepreneur Club is a non-profit organization connecting stakeholders across London's early stage life science ecosystem. As an Outreach Manager I developed relationships with our partners, helped execute our regular events, and contributed digital content to showcase promising startups.

Analyzed how drug-candidate peptides would bind and internalize into mammalian cell lines through flow cytometry and western blotting, and also supported the development of cell type-specific cancer therapies.
