This design supported very-short reach through long-reach DWDM applications.- Designed a SONET/SDH STRATUM 3e compliant network-clocking module.- Successfully managed a team of 10 engineers through all phases of product development, conducted all design reviews, and transitioned all sub-systems through the manufacturing process. Met all requirements and time to market goals, as well as worked with modeling group to validate system performance specifications.- Led FPGA, PCB, and verification design reviews.

Designed, simulated, implemented and tested an 80K gate PCI bus-master ASIC for the PowerPC processor card in an LSI ASIC..Research Projects:IP/ATM Protocol Assist- Investigated several methods for dedicated hardware routing assist for both IPv4 and IPv6.- Participated in the enhancements to an internal IBM ATM protocol chip and Prizma switch chip.Orbit-A gigabit-per-second fiber-optic MAN LIC card using in the Aurora network (part of NSFNET). - Designed new high-speed fiber optic front-end based on laboratory tests for the next version of the Orbit card.
