I am an experienced software developer, designer, and architect. I have nearly 25 years software development experience. I have worked in a variety of technologies and platforms. I am fluent in at least four programming languages and familiar with several others. I have been promoted at every job I've ever held.One of my notable strengths is very strong analytical skills. I can break almost any problem into its component parts. Identify what is important and what is not. And then reassemble the whole to either add new functionality or fix something that is broken. I am very good at troubleshooting even with limited exposure to a specific issue or code base. I've designed, and, in most cases, implemented entire databases and applications. Throughout my career so far, I've tended to focus on line of business OLTP applications.I am most interested in implementing elegant software that follows SOLID principles and Object Oriented design that allows for automated testing. At the same time though, my designs tend to be as simple as the requirements allow. Understanding that software development is an iterative process, I do not over-design my solutions.At this point in my career, I am looking for a near 100% remote work situation.
