I managed a team of 3 other Epic TS on the Claims team. I focused on growing my team members and contributing to team-wide initiatives. I met weekly with my team members to help them resolve issues, deliver feedback I had solicited from their customers, and work with them to understand where they wanted to go with their careers and help them reach their goals.

I was the point person for the ongoing support of a single Epic customer. This covered a wide range of responsibilities like investigating technical issues, managing the team of 30+ Epic employees who support that customer, escalating issues to Epic's leadership, and being a project manager for organization-wide projects. I worked closely with my customer's IT leadership to understand their strategy, and I made sure they have the information and resources they need to be successful. I triaged and delegated issues to the appropriate owners, which required being highly adaptable to the rapidly changing issues and priorities of a large healthcare organization.Notable achievements:- Coordinated multiple upgrades of the Epic software, which is are large projects that affects the entire customer. Each of these upgrades resulted in issue volume that was below expectations.- Managed an technical performance escalation where Epic's software was not meeting the customer's expectations. I communicated with both the customer and Epic leadership to resolve the issues with urgency.

I worked with the IT departments of several healthcare organizations as the main point of contact for Epic's Claims and Remittance module. Day to day, I triaged and investigated issues from my customers by searching through internal documentation, reading source code, and performing online industry research, and I then communicated the solutions back to the IT staff. This honed my communication skills to be clear, concise, and addressing the right question (which is not always the one asked).I also participated in the Epic development process by coding fixes to issues, and I was an escalation owner for issues that affected the entire Epic customer base.Notable achievements:- Shepherded one organization through significant financial issues and restored their metrics back to baselines.- Discovered a customer misconfiguration that caused over $3 million to be incorrectly billed to patients and owned the resolution and cleanup process.- Developed a utility to automate support scheduling that has saved 2 hours of work per month- Coded 30+ searches to identify if organizations are affected by various issues, saving hundreds of hours of team time.In this role, I worked mostly in the M programming language and Excel.
