Field work includes property water supply inventory and monitoring, which includes identifying water supplies such as wells, springs, and ponds, and determining water quantity and obtaining samples for water quality analysis. Additionally, I conduct property evaluations for locating potential replacement water supplies in areas where mining has impacted developed water supplies and the subsequent testing of these supplies. I have supervised the drilling and construction of piezometer monitoring wells in areas affected by mining, which includes core description and the determination of optimal groundwater collection zones. I have conducted and assisted in stream flow monitoring projects for data collection in areas ahead of mining activity and have assisted in benthic organism identification to determine variable and diverse sections of stream channels. Office work consists of writing recommendation letters, summarizing the testing of replacement water supplies and the recommended treatment options. I have assisted in permitting work for the compilation of permit packets that are submitted to state regulatory agencies. Additionally, I have been involved in creating reports and rebuttals for water quality issues that are submitted to state regulatory agencies. I have experience using Log Plot for drafting core logs for piezometer drilling projects and am proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel.
