About Eric Stephenson

Interested in a direct hire as Sr Analyst or Technical / Functional Architect.-Made history, by successfully completing the first ever SAAS (Software As A Service) project procured by the Delaware state government to manage constituent issues for the Governor’s Office & several State agencies, which I’ve been told, has been in use for over 10 years. -Over 10 years, with a successful track record, thru many roles including: Business Analyst, System Architect, Project Management, Development, Administration & Integration. Has completed projects alone, but also realizes a team with a variety of skill sets can minimize risk & increase productivity. -Eric became a client facing Business Analyst by building upon customer service experience. From working with entry level developers who asked a lot of questions, Eric learned architecture & design, to mentor & answer those questions. Salesforce was similar to systems Eric designed, so it was more efficient to build myself then explain every step in a wizard to offshore teams. Even with more complicated requirements, I often find myself going above & beyond to help my development team or just doing the work myself.-Business Analyst, Solution & Technical Architect roles are often combined. Like a therapist, an analyst listens to the business needs & guides toward solutions. The architect converts those requirements into technical tasks so several developers can "code blindly."-I have reviewed & fixed the code of developers whose coding skills & experience were supposed to exceed my own. You'd be surprised how many developers don't understand bulkification or how to properly test code to handle large records or integrations. -I often surprise myself, like when I had to re-learn SQL because the offshore team was unable to do the work. Yes, I can do more than just Salesforce. -For over 10 years, I’ve had a dedicated commitment to my Attendance Tracker App on Salesforce’s App Exchange. Based on user feedback & requests, I’ve completely managed, designed, built, developed & maintained my application. As well as, passed many security reviews. Often companies add a “addendum” to the “Employment Agreement” that overrides any non-compete clause by clarifying that my app is not considered competition. -I prefer paid travel over relocation. Note that most tech work has a listed duration of about 6 months, so anything shorter than 3 years is travel. I would relocate if the employer shows a commitment & I’m open to learning about options, like addendum, restricted stock, or other way to mutually assure a commitment.

Listed skills include Salesforce.Com, Project Management, Business Analysis, Integration, and 27 others.

• Effectively doubled my heavy travel contract length at a large manufacturer, by proving my value to the replacement contracting company’s staff resulting in my competitors championing the need for my contract extension.• Mentored, trained, guided & worked with both clients & competitors.• Designed complex permissions on day of release when previous consults design failed. • Simplified migrations by designing salesforce as a data transformation tool.• Evaluated Salesforce Lightning limitations & made recommendations. • Used process builder to create working POCs with flexibility for modification & framework to store data, that could latter be replaced with permanent syntax coded solution to free up limited resources.

• Set up Salesforce live chat agent & demo solution• Evaluated Salesforce Health cloud, determined solution to automate task creation on time line• Set up Salesforce Community Topics for Questions & Knowledge using Data Categories

Researched Salesforce 1 mobile app & made recommendations for Mobile Optimization. Maintain documentation by building upon & recommending the continued use of existing documentation of previous team mates, rather than starting over. Used Field Trip App to determine percentage fields use, collaborate with stakeholders to determine field meaning & usefulness.Create Actions Buttons for quick updates & record creation, by using fewer fields & Default Values for hidden fields. Based on mobile user feedback, guided developer to reuse backend Apex Classes & build new frontend mobile friendly Visual force to bring existing desktop features on mobile. All required fields & most used fields moved to top section, lesser used field moved to lower sections. Removed unused related list & fields.Created workflow rules using multi picklist values to update hidden fields to reduce fields on page & maintain existing integration. Used Process Builder to create related custom objects based on user picklist selections. To handle deleted related record without using a trigger, recommended redesign to replaced 3 workflow rules; with 1 complex field update workflow rule.Improved transparency for Channel Deal Registrations, enabled insight to channel health, and streamlined several internal processes relating to managing Deals. Reached out to stakeholders to validate & architect less complicated integration using leads, to avoid a number of issues that kept the project on back log for years. Leads avoids the need to map different products & Accounts in different systems; so that, if approved a Lead conversion would allow user to choose an equivalent Account & add Product. Reduced queries by CAT products into a single large field & used formulas to pull user data to lead, Since a Lead only needs to be approved, Outbound Messages handle integration updates of few lead fields, while remaining read only fields are updated by Sharepoint thru the API.

Working with a Global Real estate Client that is on-boarding & migrating 1000+ users from several different departments and locations, using complex permission structure and sharing•Advised for architectural decisions with Salesforce.com, Informatica, Data Loader and other ETL integration tools for automated migration strategy from large variety of systems. (Previously the company grew through acquisitions and Brokers can buy their own software like excel, Outlook, ACT, Salesforce, and anything else) Created POC (Proof Of Concept) batch processes using Data Loader command line (CLIQ tool), for scheduling export for backup & data warehouse. Recommend concatenating errors and unmapped fields in the large area field (description) in an effort to bring on 1000+ users from multi systems within salesforce field creation limitation and keep the org use able for all.•Researched and enhanced code to allow user to get around permission structure as part of an effort to clean up data. (Apex code can ignore permission structure)•Offered support, advice and recommendations, worked as part of a team, gathered requirements, interviewed users, streamlined onboarding process,•Determined sharing permission impacts for new & existing users. Recommended & enhanced manual sharing architecture of previous consulting company by introducing automated sharing permissions by first (for accounts, contact, opps) using Account Teams (No limit) and as needed second (Leads and other objects) combing sharing rules (limited to 500) with Public groups.•Determined how to handle domain knowledge members & non members sharing using Public Groups

Technical Architect / Lead

Paris, France, Fr

Worked on a Financial Insurance project with a large team onsite & offsite, multi integrations, with lots of rules that needed to be validated without saving:- Helped client to understand & minimize risk. Recommended apps to improve SalesForce. Researched features & made recommendations. - Mentored team members and shared knowledge on SalesForce uses. Recommend best practices and solutions to both clients and team. Recommended a team member to perform a tasks. Reached out to team members to be included in scheduled discussions as needed.- Pushed for use of standard features to speed up design (in SF adding a table creates the CRUD pages, so drag and drop can be used to quickly edit page layouts). Convinced clients Leads to champion the use of standard features and screen shots for quickly understanding design change possibilities, so developers could focus on functionality instead of look and feel. Used standard features to mock up proposed solutions to demo before requesting development.- Looked into future requirements, which resulted in a discovery that required re-scoping, due to the SalesForce out-of-the-box feature not fitting the actual need. Discovered ripple effect, hidden by visual force, where system looked as if it was functioning properly but actually not storing data in correct fields.-Recommended Delaware's Blue Collar training program, which is a dollar for dollar match on training cost to save a lot of money on training call center staff.

Business Analyst / Architect / Consultant / Project Manager Using Salesforce

Thylaksoft

As an analyst gathered requirements and brake them up in to use cases at function level so that several developers could "code blindly". Designed data base relation and frame work in language independent, leaving only syntax for the developers to figure out.Trained user on how to use the system I designed.Pushed for thylaksoft to save cost and time by adopting the use of package software, instead of building everything from scratch.Pushed for government projects using salesforce. With salesforce and force.com, it was often easier to customize myself then to pass on work to the development team, and simplified documentation could be used, and developer are still used when integration and non salesforce development.
