Sport hosting opportunities worked on included the 2024 Grey Cup, the 2025 Invictus Games and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This position includes being the project lead on overseeing provincial government involvement in these marquee event hosting opportunities, from initial evaluation of the opportunity, provincial branding and marketing leading up to the event, ensuring the event progresses without issues, evaluating achievement of outcomes and deliverables, including return on investment. The position provides instruction and leadership to sport event hosting project teams, leads event planning and organizational meetings and drafts and presents cabinet and treasury board submissions to the Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport.
