At Change Healthcare my team and I developed automated tools for cloud infrastructure and user management. Our goal was 100% automation with our network infrastructure management, OS lifecycle management, standards enforcement, and auditing. All of our software and services were built to meet HITRUST and HIPPA compliance while keeping costs at a minimum.My primary responsibility was the development of new GCP infrastructure automation as well as the maintenance of our legacy AWS infrastructure automation using in-house tools I created. These tools leveraged Python, Terraform, Ansible, Jinja2, Gitlab CI, and other technologies. I also worked closely with the company's development teams to facilitate deployment of their products onto our cloud platforms.Our company's VP of IT Cloud Technologies, Torsten Kablitz, presented one of our primary management tools, named 'Kreinto', during his speech at the 2017 AWS re:Invent conference in Las Vegas, NV.I have also had the privilege to travel to various Change Healthcare offices in the United States and Canada to give presentations on test-driven development (TDD), host cloud architecture boot camps, onboard new teams, and interact with various individuals in the company. These travels have given me the unique opportunity to train and learn from a diverse group of fellow software developers.

At Allegiant, we developed internal company software using Node.js, AngularJS, Gulp, CoffeeScript, Jade, and LESS, in conjunction with back-end Java web-services. Dependencies were managed with NPM and Bower and collaboration was coordinated through Git and Atlassian software (Stash, Jira, Confluence). All of my development was done using Fedora Linux and JetBrains PHPStorm.Previously, I was developing with the Symfony2 framework with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript with jQuery and AJAX, Twig, and other front-end web-technologies. Dependencies were managed with our internal Packagist server and Composer.

As the head of the ACM Chapter of UNLV, I organized weekly meetings where numerous participants gathered and challenged themselves with programming problems, as well as tutor freshman and sophomore students making an effort to grasp new CS concepts. Along with this, my group and I hosted local programming competitions in coordination with Zappos.com, barbecues and pizza events to raise awareness of computer science organizations at the university, as well as organized and participated in the yearly ACM regional programming competition in Riverside, California.My experience as the chapter president also enabled me form corporate connections through the UNLV hosted TechConnect event with local Las Vegas companies such as SlickDeals.net and Allegiant Travel Company, which afforded me the opportunity to help fellow students come into contact with these companies. Some of these students went on to land jobs and start their careers, myself included.

I ran a self-operated mobile computer repair service in Las Vegas while I attend full time school at UNLV.

I owned and operated a successful ceramic tile / hardwood floor installation business both in Whitefish, MT and Kitty Hawk, NC. The work was fulfilling, the customers were happy, and I learned many skills in the construction field such as time management and large project planning.
