I have been in the construction industry after I graduated college and have enjoyed every minute of it. I began working for a local St. Louis contractor as a painters apprentice while waiting for a teaching position to open and thought it would keep me busy through the summer. I decided to stay with it, learned the trade, and eventually went out on my own as an independent contractor, refining my trade skills and learning the business side as well. I was able to build my business and start ACME Remodeling LLC approximately 4 years after I first set foot on a job-site. There I was able to hone my estimating, sales, and management skills while building an impressive client base. We also branched out into residential remodeling and carpentry projects, took on larger painting jobs, and added crews along the way.I moved to Chicago in 2009 and began working with Castino Painting and Home Services as an estimator/project manager. We serviced the towns and villages of Chicago's North Shore working on high end residential, multi-family, commercial, and new construction projects. I followed jobs from start to finish and was involved in every detail, from the initial sale to final invoice approval. I started estimating painting & decorating and learned to estimate stucco/E.I.F.S. repair, flooring, light carpentry, and restoration build back projects as well.I had an excellent rapport with my clients and came to know many of them well over the years. They appreciated the high level of integrity, quality of work performed, and the professional attitude of our employees, which were the core tenets of our philosophy. We strove for long term relationships with our clients. The initial project was only the first step.My first position in commercial estimating was with Art C. Klein construction in Colorado Springs, estimating school campus', medical buildings, police stations, and multi-family projects.Finally, a move back to St. Louis brought me to Lombardo Homes where I was estimating custom home builds for a premier custom home builder.I have a BA from New York University and am Certified in EPA Lead Safety Procedures.
