Coordinated research at the nation’s leading clinical center for neurodegenerative disease. - Managed a longitudinal study on cognitive decline for a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neuropsychologists, neuroscientists, speech pathologists, genetic counselors, nurses, and social workers.- Wrote all protocols, annual reviews, and advertising materials for the study. Served as a liaison with UCSF’s Human Research Protection Program, helping to ensure the ethical and equitable treatment of research participants.- Conducted neuropsychological, behavioral, and functional assessments during volunteers’ clinical visits.+ Highlight: Launched an innovative digital awareness campaign that led to a study enrollment of more than 400 volunteer participants from the Bay Area.

Coordinated research at the Perelman School of Medicine’s addiction clinic, offering inpatient and outpatient research programs for alcohol- and drug-dependent patients, including treatment—psychotherapy, medication, and rehabilitation.- Organized and implemented several research protocols for the pharmacological treatment of substance abuse, primarily cocaine and opiates.- Recruited study participants from the community; administered longitudinal research assessments and questionnaires, scored test batteries, collected and processed lab samples, monitored subject compliance, and maintained research files. + Highlight: Conducted research and tracked the regulatory issues for a 6-month trial of a novel, implantable form of buprenorphine.
