The City of Casey is Victoria's largest and fastest-growing municipality, home to a diverse array of cultures.In this role, I led an initiative to enhance the strategic and operational risk management methodology. This involved conducting a comprehensive gap analysis of the council's existing risk management system, and developing new training materials and risk assessment tools.I then applied these new risk assessment tools and facilitated risk workshops and reviews with department managers across the council to ensure effective implementation.

In this role, I developed and implemented a robust risk and benefits management framework for the council’s largest Transformation Program, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards. I authored the program's quarterly Audit and Risk reports, for submission to the Audit and Risk Committee and Executive Leadership Team. In addition, I served as the Risk Partner, providing expert support to the council’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) function and the Innovation Department's Incubator Program.

In this role, I developed and implemented project management tools, processes, and frameworks for the council’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) department, supporting over 100 active projects.

Downer Transport and Infrastructure is a leading provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, offering expertise in transportation, infrastructure, and engineering. During my tenure, I played a key role in managing and mitigating risks for major projects, including the $2.3 billion High Capacity Metro Trains (HCMT) project—a critical initiative to enhance Melbourne's rail network with new state-of-the-art trains, and supporting maintenance facilities. Key responsibilities included:Primary Risk Liaison: Served as the main point of contact for project risks on the HCMT project, collaborating with an international team to ensure effective risk management practices.Risk Analysis and Communication: Conducted and presented qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to internal and external stakeholders. Including bids and tenders for other high-profile, multi-billion-dollar projects.Governance, Risk, and Compliance Management: Managed the company's Governance, Risk, Audit, and Compliance application, delivering extensive training on risk and audit management to a diverse workforce, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
