Started with Michelin Earthmover US7 plant on August of 2001 as a Maintenance Tech Scholar going to school at Aiken Technical College majoring in industrial electronics. Went to work on crew as a Troubleshooter mid 2002. During that time, became skilled in automation, troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing machines. Nominated by production operations and received the Bib Excellence Award for "Serving the Client" Worked my way to becoming a 311 (Michelin highest level) Automation Tech.About midway into my career, made the decision to go back to college and pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This was a really big decision after almost 10 years of being out of four year college. With the support of my work, my wife, friends, and family, I re-enrolled at University of South Carolina in January 2008. Went to school part time and continued to worked full time as a crew troubleshooter. My last semesters of college were the most demanding, but soon graduated in May 2012. In March 2011, I accepted the position of being a Reliability Maintenance Planner for Prep and Tire Building. I continued Reliability Planning until accepting the Cypress project position of Mechanical MP leader for the installation of Prep machine equipment in January 2013. After the installation of several machines, I began working on other projects in the plant to improve obsolete equipment. This proved to be a great experience and learning opportunity.Taking a job as a Reliability Engineer proved to be a very challenging job as I found myself going from a reactive mindset to a proactive one. I soon began to specialize in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance, Asset Criticality Analysis, helping administrate our CMMS system, and leading TPM, RCA, and MFMEA events. I also became a lead expert in Infrared Thermography and Airborne / Structure borne machine ultrasound. I also enjoyed helping others reach their potential through training, presenting, and holding meetings to share ideas, best practices and constructing maintenance plans to help sustain these best practices. As fate would have it, my joy of helping others gained notice and I was soon approached to be a Technical Instructor. I now have the amazing opportunity of teaching Electrical Control Theory, Electrical Troubleshooting Skills, AC Drives, Infrared Thermography, and Airborne / Structure borne Ultrasound.
