The Office of Non-Public Schools (ONPS) is responsible for more than 800 schools and 250,000 students throughout all five boroughs of NYC. ONPS works collaboratively with City Hall, New York State Department of Education, various religious leaders, school leaders, elected representatives, the standing committee members as well as community members from diverse religious and cultural and linguistic backgrounds. ONPS is responsible for more than One Million dollars in federal funding in support of ESSA and across Title I Title II, Title III, and Tile IV programs as well as the Forty-Six-Million dollars in allocations for the Smart Schools Bond Act and the more than twenty-five million dollars in NYSTL allocations. Ensure all eligible students receive services is alignment with state and federal guidelines and with timely and meaningful collaboration with the standing committee. The Executive Director of Operations manages both office and field-based teams, providing guidance and leadership to both instructional and operational staff. of support services to all 800 plus schools within the caseload of ONPS. The Executive Director supports collaboratively with the Leadership Team and all internal team staff as well as staff across the schools we serve and the members of the standing committee. The Executive Director of Operations is the key coordinator responsible for ensuring that contracted vendors, facilities, health, and safety standards in approximately 800 nonpublic schools meet City and State regulatory standards and initiatives to improve academic outcomes of students. The Executive Director of Operations will manage the implementation of Smart Schools Bond Act and NYSTL to provide materials and resources to all nonpublic schools, and gather, monitor, and track data, including Certificate of Occupancy and leasing information for all schools.

Coordinate resources and management of all matters related to the Division of Operations that impact the schools, students, and families served by the Borough Field Support Center. This includes providing oversight of the provision of operational support services, identifying support opportunities, and working with Central divisions to support schools with planning and logistics in the following areas: facilities maintenance and space usage, school food, transportation, enrollment and admissions compliance, capping and overflow, school relocation support and communication during crises and emergencies, summer school and school readiness planning and a variety of other day to day escalations.
