He specializes in gastrointestinal cancers (especially stomach, esophageal, colorectal, liver and pancreatic cancers) and ERCP and laparoscopic surgery (laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, stomach surgery, laparoscopic colorectal resection). Dr Teh has a special interest in diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, polyp removal, endoscopic mucosal resection and especially screening and detection of early cancers of the gut. Dr Teh was one of the first surgeons in Singapore to perform laparoscopic surgery for reflux esophagitis and was one of the founding members of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of Asia and the International Gastric Cancer Association. He is accredited by the Ministry of Health as a Renal Transplant Surgeon and is a Fellow with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow.
