Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members. Responsible for managing and maintaining the server and storage environment at KBR including: •Management of the storage environment including the forensics analysis, auditing, patching, planning and execution of system upgrades. •Make storage volumes available, including DAS and SAN from Dell/EMC/Netapp •Build and maintain servers. These will include physical servers as well as virtual servers using VMWare’s vSphere application and MS Hyper V application •Perform duties related to managing and auditing system security controls to specified guidelines •Establish and manage tools for monitoring and automating alerts relative to system issues. •Maintain system maintenance and activity logs and documentation of policies and procedures for various tasks related to the operation of the server and storage environments •Setup, manage, and monitor all backup and redundancy infrastructure related to the storage environment •Document system changes through the demand management, change management and release management processes. •Perform capacity and performance analyses on all storage, backup systems, and server environments as required.
