Managing New Product Development (NPD) & Inquiry To Order (ITO) engineering group.Responsible for managing NPD & R&D projects.Develop product engineering design plans for various engineering projects.Manage engineering workflow for engineers & designers to meet internal & external customer dates.Approve non-exempt employee timesheets & PTO for ITO & NPD engineering group.Prepare employee annual reviews, goals & objectives.

Develop product engineering design plans, calculations using recognized industrial code such as ASME Section VIII Div1/2, ASME B31.3 & B31.1, ASME B16.34 and various MSS SP standards.Improve product quality & reduce costs for all PBV API 6D/ API 6A / API 608 ball valves & API 6D swing check valves.Manage engineering workflow for junior engineers & designers to meet internal & external customer dates.Perform FEA stress (both linear & nonlinear) analysis on different valve components.Initiate design CAD concept layout and select materials (material selection) for specific application, including metals, seals & polymer.Communicate with domestic & international factories on new product launching.Build & test new product prototypes as part of design validation process.Write, maintain & update internal engineering procedures & specifications along with industrial standards.Responsible for API, PED & ISO audited engineering design documentation.

Design, develop & maintain API 6D & API 608 flanged floating ball valves & trunnion ball valves.Document bill of material (BOM) in MRP system.Maintain product sales literature, technical bulletins & brochures.

Develop obsolescence plans for incorporating improved features in standard valve products used in power plant.Maintain in-house engineering standards, BOMs & final assembly drawings.Propose & implement revisions, corrective actions, and work procedures pertaining to the technical aspects of the products.Enhance the quality & cost of the products.Assist in troubleshooting returned valves. Recommend proper repair plan and write technical inspection reports.Assists Sales with quoting standards products and valve selection based on customer’s requirements.
