These commercials have been so successful that when added together, they make up over 55 years of television! Eric also has written several cookbooks and has sold over 7000 copies to date and has his latest cookbook Toss and Go! coming out in early 2020.Eric Theiss’s culinary savoir-faire started in northern New Jersey as a child when his Italian mother, on a hunch, borrowed from the public library his first cookbook at age 6. His mother’s instincts were right, and Eric began a life of culinary work. As a young adult, he continued to fuel his passion for food and fine dining. During his early twenties, his love of food and wine manifested itself in working long nights in NJ restaurants, including his favorite kitchen of all at The Culinary Renaissance, where acclaimed chef Frank Falcinelli exposed Eric to a level of culinary passion that inspired Eric to strive.In 1997 he took a leap of faith and opened his own fine dining restaurant and bar called Meritage in West Chester, PA--one that enjoyed rave reviews from some prominent Philadelphia food critics. Here, his dream of owning and operating a fine dining establishment was fully realized.A few years later, utilizing his inventive and creative flair, Eric moved on to the culinary broadcast world, working in product development for not only QVC’s proprietary kitchenware lines but also for celebrity lines (Paula Deen, Emeril, Rocco, Rachel Ray, and Lidia Bastianich) as well as his own personal line of cool kitchen tools and cookware.Eric has been a popular regular TV Chef presenter for over 15 years on QVC’s live shows for his own brands as well as a variety of well-known national kitchen brands.
