• Third Officer aboard Pre-Positioned vessels contracted to Military Sealift Command as part of their Ready Reserve Fleet, Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Teritory. Vessels include;
• 3rd Officer aboard T-5 Tanker (USNS Lawrence Gianella)
• 3rd Officer aboard Watson-class LMSR (USNS Ralph E Pomeroy)Responsibilities include OIC of all Fire/LSA Gear, Safety/Training Officer, Chief Fire Team Leader, GMDSS Maintenance, and all other regular Officer duties.

M/V Africa Mercy

• Served as Safety & Training Officer for the 2010 (Lome) Togo Outreach, into the shipyard period in Durban, South Africa. Also served as Navigation Officer and LSA Officer when shorthanded.
• Onboard Safety Manager and Officer in Charge of Training.
• Planned, conducted, and oversaw ships weekly fire/boat/oil spill/Damage Control drills
• In conjunction with drills, conducted necessary training for the ships four Fire Teams, EMT team, Lifeboat crews, et al.
• Responsible for new crew familiarization, including weekly orientationsIn addition, I assisted the Security Officer in creating Security Plans for off-ship medical teams, and provided Security Escorts when necessary.

• During this time, I served on three different ships in a variety of roles..
• Third Officer aboard MV Caribbean Mercy, serving Latin America/Caribbean. My duties included inspecting/maintaining Fire & LSA gear, leading Fire Team 1, supervision of Deck Crew, and other general Officer duties such.
• Bosun aboard MV Anastasis, supervision of deck crew, responsible for maintenance of ship, and training of new crew members in everything from crane operations to forklift driving.
• Security Officer aboard MV Anastasis during outreach to Liberia, post-civil war. Met regularly with US Embassy Security personnel to assess local trouble spots, supervising ships Nepali Ghurkha security force. Created.

Logos Hope is a multi-national Christian Missionary & Training ship. I served onboard from the shipyard period in Denmark,through the European Outreach, into the Caribbean Outreach, where I disembarked to re-join Mercy Ships. My role was two-fold; Fire & LSA Officer and Safety Officer.
