Senior Manager of Trading Systems. My team was responsible for the Match Engine, Order Entry, Credit Controls, Market Data, Trading APIs, and Audit Trails. The system was on a hybrid cloud platform where we managed a low-latency exchange in a data center along side web-scale Trading APIs in AWS.

Coordinated the cutover to the next generation exchange platform while we continued to build a new team around it.

Built the next-generation exchange platform. I independently wrote the Match Engine and played a key role to design the new trading platform as a whole.

I worked on a project to design and develop a reliable, low-latency exchange from the ground-up. I specialized in audit trail capture and market observably.

Managed a team of Software Engineers and Quality Analysts on CME's Matching Engine. My primary responsibilities included managing people, designing critical components of CME's core trading platform, and leading teams through the software development lifecycle. I did this while continuing to contribute code as an engineer.

* Lead an offshore team to build a new application designed to offload work from CME’s Matching Engine in order to improve overall system performance. Kafka was utilized for message delivery and fault-tolerance.* Externalized the trading platform’s usage of system clocks into normal message flow to achieve a fully event-sourced trading pipeline.* Integrated a custom performance monitoring library into a trading platform application to better understand the end-to-end system performance.

* Rewrote the Market Data Platform to drastically improve performance. Binary Encoding, Tibco FTL, multi-threading, Disruptor, and low-latency development techniques were heavily utilized.* Lead the development of an internal Ticker Plant to distribute real-time, à-la-carte market data to hundreds of internal processes using Simple Binary Encoding over TCP/IP.Lead the development of an automated, multi-component testing suite using Cucumber to allow QA to easily perform end-to-end integration testing.* Developed a custom, high-performance, garbage-free Java collections library specifically tailored to maximize the performance of typical CME Market Data functions.

Implemented performance improvements of Implied Market Data dissemination to reduce latency on the exchange's critical path.

Added functionality to CME's Market Data platform to support Market-by-Order Market Data dissemination so that it could be adapted for use in BVMF's markets as part of a partnership with CME.

Built new production monitoring and testing tools for the Market Data Platform.
