Duties:Act as a liaison between Manufacturing and IT for the Global Maintenance organization of General Motors. Work with global and regional maintenance leaders to envision maintenance strategies, and how to implement them in the common maintenance management application – Maximo. Also responsible for numerous additional applications supporting other manufacturing and non-manufacturing business functions. Responsible for leading the Plant Productivity Systems group consisting of 11 Business and Senior Business Analysts. Lead staff meetings, coordinated annual project/portfolio planning, and performed all HR functions. Experience Highlights:• Salvaged a troubled global migration from Maximo version 4.1 to version 7.1 for 40+ North American manufacturing plants.• Increased my group’s contribution to IT ROI from $1.8M to more than $54M in just two years.• Assisted with the implementation of a global common business process for a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).• Managed the processes required to integrate General Motors Components Holdings (GMCH) IT infrastructure and applications into the common suite of GM manufacturing applications.• Presently performing the role of Sr. Business Analyst in General Motors’ global migration from Maximo version 7.1 to version 7.6 including the implementation of a new, globally common business process.

Duties:Oversee the manufacturing IT operations at six to ten North American assembly, stamping, and powertrain plants for General Motors. Implement global common systems, infrastructure, and applications in support of GM’s Global Manufacturing System. Manage a group of IT Plant Managers – one for each plant, and up until 2009, one manager specializing in idling operations at closed plants. Manage all operations to an aggressive set of manufacturing metrics while also overseeing the integration of IT systems with global product launches and systems deployments. Assist in the career development and advancement of IT Plant Managers. For a brief time, managed the interface between GMNA’s Manufacturing and Labor IT Operations with GM’s Worldwide Facilities Group North American Region.  Experience Highlights:- Managed several assembly, stamping, and powertrain plants with an annual operations budget of over $30 million, and IT assets totaling over 25,000.- Oversaw the IT portion of the project to amalgamate CAMI Automotive Manufacturing into the GM business and operations models upon its purchase in 2011.- Oversaw the Brownfield Architecture Conversion for the Spring Hill Manufacturing site converting all legacy Saturn systems to global common GM systems while launching the Chevy Traverse.- Oversaw the IT portion of the successful launches of the Chevy Traverse, Buick LaCrosse, Chevy Malibu, Hummer H3T, Chevy Volt, Chevy Camaro, Buick Regal, and Cadillac XTS.- Oversaw the deployment of a host of global common systems at my plants including GEPICS, GSIP, GPMC, GTS, QAS, GDIS, and others.- Renegotiated the global service contract between GM and Sprint Nextel for the Custom Network Solutions (CNS) sites in 2009. - Lead the manufacturing process area of M&L IT for the GM Restructuring Project to divest the Hummer brand during the GM bankruptcy filing of 2009/2010.

Duties: Comprehensive management of all elements of the IT Plant Manager role. Included management of an out-sourced IT service provider model with EDS, AT&T, HP, and others. Also included daily interface with plant Staff and all departments to support daily production and quality goals. Regularly managed and participated in major systems deployments, hardware refreshes and software releases, change control management, management of production critical incidents, and daily systems management for all the IT needs of the plant’s user community. Responsible for development and implementation of Plant Engineering Change Control Procedure. Lead Plant Engineer for controls and systems integration for the GMT800 and GMT560 re-engineering efforts (post-launch). Acting site coordinator for fire protection system inspections and maintenance, and all class III and IV laser installations. Training Coordinator for Plant Engineering. Responsible for all Paragraph 183 negotiations between plant management and UAW management regarding contracted labor. Key technical consultant for implementation of a common approach to Paragraph 71 (Overtime Equalization) tracking and management. Fifth-year thesis advisor for multiple Kettering University Fifth-Year Seniors.

Duties:Responsible for coordination and implementation of projects involving plant utilities, HVAC systems, plant proprietary and security systems, Fire & Watch systems, and plant utility SCADA systems. Included both new construction and maintenance of existing systems. Responsibilities included: coordination with A/E firms, OEMs, vendors, and suppliers; management of project installation and maintenance activities; interfacing with Worldwide Purchasing, in-plant Financial and Purchasing organizations, GM-UAW Health & Safety, and skilled trades organizations; development of technical specifications, estimates, appropriation requests, and other supporting documentation. Major Project Responsibilities:Specific major projects included: coordination of WFG Flint Region plants for the PCB transformer abatement project including Flint Truck Assembly, Bay City Powertrain, Flint Metal Fabricating, and Flint V8 Engine; replacement of the secondary switchgear section of Substation D2 at Flint Truck Assembly and associated groundbreaking work on installation of new DeviceNet-based power monitoring SCADA system; coordination of primary and secondary switchgear maintenance programs for WFG Flint Region plants (21 plants in region); investigation and implementation of a medium voltage cable coating compound to extend the life of installed distribution cables; development and implementation of first regional blanket purchase ordering system for electrical equipment maintenance services in support of the GM corporate specification EMM-1.

Duties:Responsible for design, installation, start-up, and de-bug of electrical systems including process controls, operator interfaces, lighting systems, environmental reclamation equipment, facilities systems, and low and medium voltage power distribution systems. Required to maintain strict adherence to corporate and government standards, codes, and ordinances. Major Project Responsibilities:Lead or participated in a large number of projects during this period. Spent work semesters in a number of manufacturing and assembly plants at the Flint Buick City site including the Buick City Assembly Plant, Flint V6 Engine, Hydra-Matic Transmission Component Plants 31 & 81, Powertrain Component Plants 05 & 10, Delco Coil Spring Plant 03, and Delphi Plastic Injection Molding Plant 09. Participated in process engineering groups, maintenance, SPC activities, Personnel, Quality of Worklife groups, and finally in Facilities Engineering. Wrote undergraduate thesis after settling in the Facilities Engineering Department.
