The Divisional Credit Officer is responsible for providing credit management and direction to support regional credit managers and lending staff throughout multiple regions. Assist regions in meeting loan growth and loan quality goals by ensuring that loan policies and procedures are properly adhered to. Duties include working with regional credit managers and line staff to properly structure credit requests, approve loans within the position’s delegated lending authority, and facilitating approvals for relationships requiring higher level of approval. Oversee past due loans, OREO, and all workout or collateral liquidation situations in order to minimize loss potential. Responsible for reviewing all problem loans in the assigned regions, to ensure that proper steps are being taken and to ensure that sufficient loan loss reserve has been allocated. Assist in internal loan review of credits as directed and handle workout credits as assigned. This position will also help coordinate training needs for lending staff in the regions, and will work with line staff to prepare for all regulatory and internal examinations. Analyze and interpret financial statements including pro-forma and projections using trend analysis, ratio analysis, cash flow analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and industry information, as well as macro/industry trends review.
